First Aid Restocking in Kyabram

We keep first aid kits stocked and in date for Kyabram workplaces, schools, farms and vehicles. We come to you on a set schedule, replace what has been used or has expired, and log every kit we check.

A first aid kit is only useful if it is full

Most first aid kits start out complete. Then someone grabs the burn gel, the eye wash expires and the last of the bandages goes on a cut finger. Nobody notices until the kit is opened for something serious and the item they need is not there.

Restocking on a schedule fixes that. Because we are based in Kyabram, we can get to local sites regularly. We check every kit against what it should hold, replace used and expired items and keep a record, so your kits are ready and you can show they have been looked after.

What We Check in Every Kit

Whether it is a wall cabinet in the lunchroom or a soft pack behind the seat of the ute, every kit gets the same once-over.

Contents against the list

Each kit is checked against what it should hold for your workplace, and anything missing is replaced on the spot.

Expiry dates

Saline, creams, eye wash and sterile items all have use-by dates. Anything expired or close to it comes out and is replaced.

Used and opened items

Opened packs, half-used rolls of tape and damaged sterile wrapping are swapped for new stock so nothing is compromised.

Kit suits the risks

A workshop, a kitchen, a farm and a classroom need different things. We flag where a kit needs extra items such as burns or eye care.

Location and signage

Kits should be easy to find, easy to reach and signed. We check they are where your team expects them, including in vehicles.

Record of the check

Every kit is logged with the date and what was replaced, so you have a record to show an auditor or your committee.

How Often Kits Are Checked

There is no single interval for every site. Busy kits on worksites need checking more often than a kit in a quiet office, so we set the schedule with you.

  1. On a set schedule

Regular restocking visits, timed to how often your kits are opened and how fast stock runs out.

  2. Before items expire

We track use-by dates so in-date stock goes in before the old stock lapses.

  3. After an incident

Once a kit has been used for anything more than a plaster, restock it before the next shift.

Between Visits

A few habits that keep your kits ready in the weeks between restocks.

  • Make one person responsible for the kit and tell the team who it is.
  • Ask staff to note what they use, so it gets replaced on the next visit.
  • Keep kits out of heat and damp, including the cab of a ute in summer.
  • Check vehicle kits are still in the vehicle and have not been borrowed.

First aid kits FAQs

Common questions from Kyabram workplaces and farms. Anything else, just ask.

Book a service

How often should a Kyabram workplace restock its first aid kits?

It depends on how often the kits are opened. A busy workshop or farm shed goes through stock faster than an office. We look at how your kits are used and set a restocking schedule to suit.

Do you restock first aid kits on farms around Kyabram?

Yes. We look after kits in sheds, dairies and vehicles on farms around Kyabram, Tongala, Merrigum and Stanhope, as well as the kit in the house.

What does a workplace first aid kit need to contain?

It depends on your workplace, how many people are there and the risks they face. WorkSafe Victoria and Safe Work Australia both publish guidance on first aid kits. We use it as the starting point and add items for hazards on your site, such as burns, eye injuries or remote work.

Do you supply new first aid kits as well as restock old ones?

Yes. We supply wall-mounted cabinets, portable kits and vehicle kits, then keep them stocked. If your current kits are in good shape we restock those instead.

Do vehicles need a first aid kit?

If staff drive for work or work away from the main site, a kit in the vehicle is the practical way to give them access to first aid. We look after vehicle kits on the same schedule as your site kits.

Can you check first aid kits on the same visit as other safety services?

Yes. Most sites book first aid alongside fire extinguishers, test and tag and exit lighting, so it is one visit and one report.
